It’s Friday and what does that mean? It’s time to focus on a FREEBIE! This week’s freebie is a math game that I made called Shapes All Around Us. I designed it to be a matching game you would play like memory once students recognized their shapes.
Well, one of my First Grade teaching friends, shout out to Mrs. Becker, snatched up this game and has already gone to town with it for her students! Last week they used it to make patterns and wrote sentences about the types of patterns they made focusing on spelling the color and shape word correctly!
This week they are going to play it as the matching game that I had envisioned and go from there!
I can see many extensions to this game… Go Fish, Attributes and more! Love it when games are versatile and you are able to get more than one use out of them!
