HUGE Thank You Card! {Deconstructed Sketch #33}

The last card that I created this weekend (not the last I am sharing with you) was for the Deconstructed Sketch of the week. I love the sketches that Jen puts out each week as they really make me work beyond my comfort area with various layers.

This week’s sketch had me thinking big spaces so I decided to do a full 6 x 6 card as I knew I had an envelope that would fit it. It all started with a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Bamboo cardstock {Close To My Heart} that I cut down to 6″ x 12″. I scored and folded it at 6″. I then used my Vintage Photo Distress Stain to rub around the edges that would show from my exposed area of the card to make it a big darker.

I used an 8×8 pad from 7 Gypsies that I had bought awhile back at Hobby Lobby and don’t think I had ever used {don’t tell the hubby}. Each of the pieces are inked in either Spiced Marmalade or Walnut Stain Distress Ink {I’ve lost my Vintage Photo and haven’t broken down and bought a new one yet}.

The seam binding tape is from my stash and after I tied it in a bow I was going to add a big star in the corner but it just didn’t quite seem right to me so I added the three flowers instead. I knew I wanted a big sentiment and didn’t have a stamp that would be large enough so I chose to use my Cricut and cut the Thank You from the Alphabet Cricut Cartridge. I went through with my Sakura Gel Pen and added lines throughout before I sprayed the entire card with Pearl Glimmer Mist!

So cute! At least in my opinion…
