Anything for You. {SSD109}

I have followed Pamela Young for what seems like ages {really probably 3-4 years} and I totally LOVE her style so when I saw that she is the Sketch Artist this month on Skipping Stones Designs, I was thrilled!

This sketch is SO timeless and was begging me to create something simple and elegant with it. I pulled out a piece of Lilybee Designs paper that I had been hoarding for at least a year {if not more} and SAVING for that perfect project. I decided that this was the exact project it was meant for and didn’t look back.

I cut each of the background strips at 1 1/2″ and then just flipped the paper over in the pattern shown. I also inked the edges of each piece in Broken China Distress Ink.

I have become infatuated with thicker satin ribbons and love using them to tie in a bow. For some reason with the thicker ribbons, my bows just come out right. WOOT!

The sentiment from this card is another from the Michael’s $1 spot that actually comes with an owl image on it as well. I masked the owl off and just used the sentiment on this little oval cut from my Cricut. I added two brads {Thanks Lydia} to the sides of it and inked it with Broken China Distress Ink before putting foam tape on the back to make it pop.

I also had to add {my OCD on rule of three} the three pearls in the top right corner to “complete” this card. I think that this card would be great to send to someone to perk up their day! It is up in my Etsy shop if you know someone who needs a pick-me-up!
