Let’s Party Mrs. Fat Cat! {Hambo and Card Crafter’s Circle Challenges}

I have loved all the digi images that Hambo creates for the past month and finally was able to sit down and create with one of the free ones on their site! I can’t wait to be able to create with more of them as well! 🙂

Mrs. Fat Cat {as I call her- real name is Cool Cat} looks like she is having a relaxing day and with it being out on the water, I wanted to make this card as bright as I could. I used a mix of Copics and a few Bic Ultra Fine Writers to color in the image. I also accented her nose with Matte Accents and the ice in her glass with Glossy Accents before I sprayed the entier card with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist. LOVE IT!

The paper that I used was also another sheet from the My Mind’s Eye Hip Hip Hooray Collection but this time it was the girl papers. I inked the edges with various distress inks {Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed} and loved how it toned it down a bit but still the let the colors shine through.

I really streched my work on this one as I don’t normally work with such bright colors but then I was happy that I did. This not only worked for the Hambo Challenge of the week but also for a new blog called Card Crafter’s Circle where the challenge was to “Make it Colorful!” I definitely think this is a colorful card! 🙂

Hope you enjoy it! 🙂
