Last night I was so happy to get my goodies from CTMH for reaching my Straight to the Top Level 2 because I knew the first project that I had in mind to create with one of the paper collections.
The Sonoma Collection has been calling my name for quite some time and I was so excited to finally receive it and be able to put together my first card for someone special for her recent special day. {Megan got engaged! Go leave her a comment congratulating her here!}
The base for this card is one of the CTMH Kraft Die Cut Cards and Envelopes that are 6″ square with a nice flap. I cut the base from the Sonoma Paper Pack at 5 3/4″ and inked the edges with Smokey Plum. I then cut the Amethyst cardstock at 2″ x 5 3/4″ and also inked in Smokey Plum Ink. The next two pieces of cardstock are Olive and Chocolate and both are cut at 3″ x 4″ and inked in their respective colors. Before I adhered them down I added a strip of Chocolate grosgrain ribbon behind and tied it in a knot.
I used the Key Moments stamp and the Sweet Moments My Acrylix stamps throughout both of these cards. I knew that I wanted two of the flowers from the Sweet Moments My Acrylix but it didn’t come with a leaf. I used the leaf from the Roxie WOTG and stamped them on Colonial White cardstock. I fussy cut them from the cardstock and then popped up the flowers with Foam Tape.
On the inside of the card I stamped the phrase that says “Remember this Day” and the two swirls are from the Roxie WOTG as well. The flap is covered in three layers of paper and cardstock all inked in Smokey Plum and Olive ink.
I do hope that Megan enjoys this card and has a wonderful engagement as she and her fiance begin to plan their wedding.
