Welcome to Day 3 of the “Love Me Do†Valentine’s Blog Hop! This week, January 16th-20th, we have a group of 5 talented designers sharing projects with you on their blogs to get you prepared for the upcoming season of love! The giveaway will be hosted through filling out a Google Docs form, here on Live.Teach.Create on January 20th, asking various questions about the posts throughout the week. All those who enter with the correct answers will have a chance to win!
Another Valentine’s card for you today with a different look! I did start with another black base but I took a bit of extra time and pulled out my EK Success Diamond Lace border punch and created the edge on this card. I then measured what was left so I would know what my base needed to be. I used another piece from the Echo Park For The Record Collection {red polka dots} that I used Fired Brick Distress Ink to ink around the edges. I mounted it on a strip of coordinating red cardstock.
Before adhering the cardstock down to the base, I used a piece of silver seam binding {love this stuff} to tie around and hide the seam. I also used my CTMH Say It In Style for the sentiment. I think that this would be perfect for an overseas or deployed Valentine.
I also added a bit of glitz {it doesn’t flake off so safe for soldiers} by drawing the lines down where the border was punched as well as around the border on the red cardstock.
