I Love You- Love Me Do Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the “Love Me Do” Valentine’s Blog Hop! This week, January 16th-20th, we have a group of 5 talented designers sharing projects with you on their blogs to get you prepared for the upcoming season of love! Whether you use these designs to create something for your loved ones or spring-board off the inspirations given, we would love to see your work as well, so leave a comment on the blogs as you go through.

On January 24th, we will be giving away a collection of goodies from the group to one lucky participant. The giveaway will be hosted through filling out a Google Docs form, here on Live.Teach.Create on January 20th, asking various questions about the posts throughout the week. All those who enter with the correct answers will have a chance to win!

Today I am going to be sharing with you another card that I have created for Valentine’s Day.

The base of this card is a simple textured black A2 sized sheet of cardstock with 1/2″ rounded corners. I then cut a piece of black polka dots from a B side in the Echo Park Off The Record Collection 1/8″ smaller on each side and rounded the corners with my 1/2″ Corner Chomper.

Before adhering the polka dots, I put down a piece of red grosgrain ribbon and tied it around the card into a knot. I cut out the label image with the Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge {you must have this… contact me if you are interested!}. I inked the edges of the label with Fired Brick Distress Ink before stamping the sentiment from a retired CTMH stamp set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and more of the Fired Brick Distress Ink.

The hearts are from the same discontinued stamp set and stamped in Fired Brick on red cardstock before I cut them out individually. I adhered them after curving them a bit. I also added some Sakura Glitz Gel Pen to give it some acccent. The label is on with foam tape and then some bling to accent the label and corners of the card.

I hope you liked today’s card. It is available {as well as others} in my Etsy shop. Enjoy!

As an added bonus today, I have a guest post of another Valentine’s project over at Pocket Full of Pink! I do hope that you will check it out there as well!

Thanks for joining me today for Day #2 of the “Love Me Do” Valentine’s Blog Hop! Next person in the hop is Jessica of Handmade Cre8ivity. Check back again with me tomorrow as well for another new idea.
