#reverb10- Day 7 “Community”

Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?

Community is defined as “a social group of any size… that have common interests.”  Well I would say that I have definitely found an online community of friends. I have met several through my YouTube channel, my blog, my online store, Facebook and of course Twitter.

-Through YouTube I am able to share videos with others and also watch videos of others.

-Through my blog I am able to share insight and knowledge with my readers and love reading your comments.  There are days that the comments will come in and it is just the smile I need.

-My online store has built a great group of friends that I am able to help get scrapbooking supplies at a great rate. Don’t forget, I still do special orders!

Facebook is a great source and I am able to see friend’s pics, read more about their lives and stay caught up.

Twitter is another great online source in that it is kind of like an open chatroom or continual texting through out the day.  Gotta love that!

Another place that I have found a community is with one of my co-workers.  We have a great difference in our backgrounds but we come to work each and every day for our students and we share many common bonds now and I love the friendship that we are building together each and every day.  She definitely keeps me sane!  You know who you are and I can’t thank you enough!
