I can’t tell you how many times I am asked, “What do you pack for a crop?” As a seasoned cropper who has been to many different types from just cropping with friends at home to MEGA 72 hour, through the night crop Extravaganzas, I feel that I have gotten it down pretty pat.
First off, I want to share with you the video that I created over a year ago of what basics to pack. You can check it out on Youtube or watch below.
Ask yourself the following:
– What do you want to accomplish?
– What do you need to have with you in order to accomplish your goals?
– Are your photos ready (printed)?
– Do you have enough adhesive?
– What tools will you need to be able to create?
– Are there any ideas/sketches you want to try?
– What “finishes” a page for you?
When you bring just what you need to complete your goals, you will be able to accomplish SO much more!
Now as I am preparing to go to a ten-hour crop today, I must heed my own advice. I have grabbed my Organizing Utility Tote from 31 Gifts and put in all of my stuff I need handy {tools, embellishments, photos and adhesive}.
Since I didn’t know how much room I would have, I grabbed a milk crate and filled it with my 2 Cropper Hopper Files {have more, just not in use in the RV} that are filled with my “new” patterned papers and cardstock. I decided to also grab my Iris case full of older collection papers and what not.
My next focus was what did I plan to accomplish? I had a few new sketches from the Simple Scrapper Premier Membership that I wanted to try so I saved those to my phone and I was set.
Hope this will help you on your next {or first} crop away from home. I will be back on Monday to share the weekend update! Enjoy your weekend!
