No Sweets Update

Many of you probably read my post (or saw my tweets) about doing a challenge for the month of October with NO SWEETS!

Well, I’m here to tell you that I’m not perfect. I did have a few cheats here and there but overall I am proud of what I was able to accomplish.

-Candy (had a few pieces of York Peppermint Patties)
-Cookies (a total of 2 Golden Oreos on the 29th)
-Cakes (a small slice of Red Velvet for a friend’s birthday)
-Pies (Had a half of a Pumpkin Pie and a Sweet Potato pie from McDonald’s on the 3rd. I totally forgot!)
-Brownies (none!)
-Ice Cream (none!)

So overall I think I did well as I can think of many things that I turned down over the course of the month. I was successful at getting past my hurdle of being at 30 lbs lost and I lost 7.7 lbs this month alone! WOO HOO! I’m thinking that I need to adopt this lifestyle more often and substitute fruits and yogurt for the sweet craving that I have quite often.

I’m ready for the next two months. I still have my goal of 50 lbs by Christmas which is only 13 more pounds! I can do this! 🙂
