While breezing through some other blogs, I found a super simple project that I could make and knew I had all the materials on hand {doesn’t that make ANY project that much better!}. I knew I wanted to use the Mischief Paper Pack for more projects since Fall is here and hopefully the cool weather will be around the corner.
I put a full sheet of the Mischief Brocade paper on my Cricut Cutting mat and selected the Pillow Box on the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I didn’t know exactly how large to cut this at and I wanted it somewhat big so I selected Fit to Page so I would get the largest possible size out of it. When this comes off your mat it will have score marks that make it easy to fold. There is only one area to glue it down and I used my ATG but you could also use Terrifically Tacky Tape so you make sure it stays closed.
While I was using my Cricut, I also wanted to cut a ribbon slide tag. The first one that I cut was way to big when I selected 4″ so I dialed down to 1 1/4″ and it was perfect for what I wanted.
I pulled out my White Pen and wrote “Happy Fall” on the front and made some pen detail around the edges. I love how it turned out. I then slid a piece of sheer ribbon through the ribbon slide tag and added two of the Bling Brads on the tag. I love how this turned out.
I plan to fill it full of some candies and give it to my secretary at work for Halloween. She does so much for me as a teacher and is so under-appreciated.
I will also makes some of these a bit smaller (probably 3 to a page) for my Holiday Open House and fill them with various Thank You gifts for those that shop. They would also be great for Hostess Gifts with a Petite Perks inside of them or just so many other great things!
