I entered a swap awhile back on the CTMH boards and I chose to make two different types of cards for the spots that I signed up for. Today, I am going to focus on the Christmas Card that I created and go through what I did for it. I will also be using these cards as part of my Christmas Card Frenzy Workshop on December 3rd from 6-9 pm. The workshop is only $25 and includes all of the supplies to make 40 cards (10 different cards, 4 of each).
This cards starts with a Kraft base at a regular A2 size {4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″}. Then the sheet from the Believe is cut at 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and inked on the edges with Chocolate Ink. The Holiday Red is cut at 3″ x 4″ and also inked with Chocolate ink {it’s becoming my new fav}. I cut the stocking out from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at 3 1/4″ on Antique White cardstock and it matches up with the Holiday Magic SOTM perfectly. The bottom part of the stocking is stamped in Olive while the top of the stocking is stamped in Cranberry. I again inked the edges with Chocolate Ink before I adhered it to the Holiday Red cardstock.
Once the stockings were all stamped, I used the Stardust Glitz Glitter to go around the cuff of the stocking for a little extra. As always, I also added some pen stitching to the edges of the Holiday Red with the Tuxedo Black Ultra Fine Bic Writer and then around the cardstock with the Uniball Signo Gel Pen. After I had it all down on the card, I used the sentiment stamp from the A Holiday My Acrylix. Because it was too long for the space that I had, I adjusted it to fit by using only half of it in two different spaces. I really like how the card turned out.
