Let’s Play with Hambo!

Last night as I sat down to create a few cards, the first one that I knew I wanted to tackle was a Hambo Designs card for the week. I felt so bad not participating last week in the challenge and needed to get this one done.

I already had a smaller image of Bailey colored from previous weeks and I wanted Bailey to be the focus.

When I say this is small, I mean the entire square is 1 3/8″. I pulled out a scrap of red cardstock and was going to originally just mount it on that but instead cut a banner shape out and love how it looked. I was still iffy on what to create so I added some Maraschino twine from The Twinery around the center and tried to do a bow but it just wasn’t happening so a knot it was. I think that since I at least attempted it, it will still count for this week’s Hambo Challenge of BRADS, BUTTONS or BOWS!

I decided to use one of the stamps from the Hero Arts I Love My Dog clear stamp set. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out before coloring in the rim with Copic R27. I stapled it on the banner with my Tiny Attacher and then covered the center area with Glossy Accents. I used foam tape to adhere it to the center of the card.

I knew it looked way to simple for me so I added a bit of bling and some doodles lines. I now LOVE it and can’t wait to add it to my Etsy shop for someone else to love.
