Layout {and card} Love!

Today, I wanted to share some recent projects {layouts and cards} that I have created. All but one were created this weekend while I was crafting away.

“Knowledge”- I created this layout to capture a moment in time that has been part of me since last August. I began as an Adjunct Professor in Adult Education at the local community college. I work two nights a week for four hours and love the teaching aspect, not so much the paperwork.

“Play, Explore, Charming”- I wanted to play along with Shimelle’s Sketch Challenge this weekend and although I didn’t have two 4″ x 6″ photos that would tell a story, I decided to adjust it a bit and create a grid of photos of Jake. It made other aspects needed to be adjusted but that totally made it it’s own. Love when I can do that!

Next up was a card for the Sketch for You To Try Card Challenge for the month of March. I have participated each month so far and didn’t want to miss March. At the end of the year, there is a prize drawn of all the people who participate each month and I knew I couldn’t give up yet. I had the Dear Lizzy 6×6 paper pad out on my bench and knew it would be perfect for a spring type card. I do have to admit that the butterfly I stamped was used for the first time despite it being in my stash since 2007. Wow, it has gone through some purging and still held on strong. LOL!

“Full of Joy”- Elle’s Studio has started putting out new sketch challenges each week and I have finally been able to play along. I loved this sketch when I first saw it and knew I had to play with it. I chose two photos from my wedding that showed off some of the details from the day and let them take the center stage with some beautify Bazzill Vintage Marketplace papers. Totally love them Margie! 🙂

And last was a card using the current “Stella Says Sketch” card sketch by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I grabbed my Stella Peeker-Darth Vader and some My Mind’s Eye papers from a 6×6 paper pad and got to coloring. I used a ton of colors for this image and instead of writing them all out, I snapped a photo for you. The one you can’t see a number on (CIAO) is E33.

Well, there ya go! There is some of what I created this weekend. What were you able to create? Check back tomorrow as I wrap up the month of March in Self Portraits! 🙂
