Happy New Year!

Let me start by saying Happy New Year to all my blogging friends! My family and I have had an amazing year and it’s so fun to look back at how much has changed. As I head into the new year I have plenty of goals (resolutions if you must) in mind. Here we go!

1. I plan to eat out less and eat in more. My goal is no more than 2x a week out of the house. I know this means I will be eating simple meals a lot but it is worth it to save the money.

2. I plan to cut out coffee shops! This means no more Starbucks, Scooters, It’s A Grind, or mom and pop coffee shops. I am doing so much better compared to a year and a half ago when I was spending $200 a month a Starbucks. Hubby bought me a Tassimo last month and I can have my own Starbucks coffee at home for so much cheaper! ๐Ÿ™‚

3. I plan to discontinue my texting while driving. I know this is more of a safety hazard then most things. I do plan on getting a Bluetooth (any recommendations?) so that I can talk more safely while driving as well.

4. I plan on moving more! This is basically me telling myself to get off my duff and move! I have a BIG goal by the end of the year (see lower) and I need to move more now to make things happen for that.

5. I plan to eat healthier! This goes with my eating out less as well. I plan to actually sit down and plan out my meals and make things work. I am also planning on drinking my required amount of “water” more often. I am allowing unsweet tea in the mix because of my huge DETEST of pure water.

6. I plan to be creative every day! This could be as simple as organizing my area, creating a scrapbook page, making some business contacts for future Live.Teach.Create product or whatever. I have so many ideas and I want them to come to fruition.

7. I plan to try my hardest at becoming pregnant this year. My goal was to have my first child by 30. Well, I turn 30 in the beginning of 2011 and there are a lot of things that need to happen first (losing a lot of weight, getting finances under control, getting a full-time job, insurance, etc.) and so I have adapted that goal to doing my best to prepare my body and my life for a pregnancy this year. Michael and I want children so bad and I was at a weight a little over a year ago where I could have them. I am sad to say that I have put on all this weight in the past year that took me 2 years to lose. I’m starting with my Dr appt on January 14th to talk to her about something that will combat the side effects of the current medicine I take that never makes me full and makes me always have the munchies.

Okay, I know I have rambled long enough. I hope that you have set your goals (er, resolutions) for 2010. Share them with me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Happy New Year! I am so on the eat out less, eat healthier, move more, create more page. My husband and I tried for 3 years to have our first son. I did fertlity drugs, shots, patches…lost weight and prayed alot…I just had son #2 (with no help…not even trying)! Keep a positive attitude and try not to stress about it too much. It really does make it harder to get pregnant if you are obsessing about it. Good luck with all of your goals…keep us posted!

  4. That is an amazing list of goals, everyone of them positive. I wish you every success! I'm with you on the texting /driving thing, and to be creative every day.
There is an annual art show here every November, my aim is to have at least one piece good enough to show.
Buy yourself Jamie Olivers "Ministry of Food" – you'll never want to eat out again!

  5. Good luck with all those resolutions! Especially the baby one! My boyfriends family are having babies left and right it seems like, they are so precious, and I'm sure you will be blessed with one this year. ๐Ÿ™‚

I never text or talk while driving .. simply because I don't know how to ! Ahahah. And cops here will pull you over in a heartbeat!!

Not eating out is so hard for me. My boyfriend and I actually said that we're going to try somewhere new every week. I've gained a lot of weight too that I'm going to try to lose. Excersize is so hard when all you want to do is sit on your butt and create! Hahah. ๐Ÿ™‚

    With love,

  6. Jenn those are Super Goals for the Year! I wish you all the luck in #7. Children are Gods greatest gift and The most rewarding thing a person can do. I'm not sure how big of a Soda drinker you are but that Is probably the 1 thing I hear to cut out of your diet for healthier consumption and weight loss program. My Favorite beverage is a Tall glass of PLAIN water. I never eat out and have Tons of fast easy meals if you need recipes. Get yourself a small crock-pot it's one of the best cooking tools if you work outside the home. Easy to prepare the night before and set in the fridge till morning when you can take out and place in base to cook during the day. Sorry for all the ramblings Best of luck in your Goals!

  7. Good luck with your goals & have a great 2010!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ As for the bluetooth, check out the Plantronics Voyager Pro. I have had it and a Jawbone & while the Jawbone may look sexier, the Plantronics gets the job done just as well & for half the price.

  8. Hey Girlfriend!
Wow, what a wonderful list of goals…you deserve to be successful with each and every one of them.
I'm all in with the accountability with food and moving more thing. Go check out sparkpeople.com they have the easiest way to track calories and it's free. Plus, wonderful recipes. You are so much more efficient with the puter than i am so it would probably be superduper easy for you.
Good luck to you and Michael this and every year.

  9. Oh, and I almost forgot – Considering my babies and grandbabies travel the same roads that you do I'm super glad to hear about the texting thing.
Plus, I would hate for anything to happen to you.
