This weeks Deconstructed Sketch was just begging to be played along with. I will tell you that I started with a completely different card and still have it sitting on my desk at home. I will see in the next few days if it speaks to me and wants to turn into a finished card. LOL! {Am I the only one who has those?}
This card is another one that I have created using the My Mind’s Eye Sunshine 6×6 paper pad! I am truly getting my full use out of it. I didn’t want to go too overboard with this but I really wanted to use all the colors that I could for a nice polished card.
The first thing I did was grab my music background stamp from Shabby Green Door and Scattered Straw Distress Ink and stamped it all over a piece of white cardstock. I love how the Scattered Straw blends perfectly with the colors in this collection. After stamping this down I added some Rusty Hinge Distress Ink around the edges for a POP!
The black floral piece I chose to give some pop of color and inked the edges in Black Soot Distress Ink. The ticket is punched out using the EK Success Labels punch and inked in Black Soot as well.
I cut out the circle using my CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at 2 3/4″ from white cardstock. I then used my $1 Michael’s cupcake stamp again and colored it with my Copic markers {YR15, YR18 and Colorless Blender}. I then used the Rusty Hinge Distress Ink again to ink the edges of the circle and then distressed the insides as well. I used my CTMH Say It in Style My Acrylix for the sentiment.
Once I put all of my layers down, I went back around and highlighted areas with my Bic Ultra Fine marker and of course added some Prima Bling.
I hope you like this card as well. I have added this card and many others to my Etsy shop over the course of the Holiday break. Please come and take a look! 🙂
