As I sat down this weekend to work on the “Scrap Your Stash” challenge from fellow CTMH Consultant {and my upline}, Stephanie Wagner, I knew I wanted to use the new Typeset Workshop On The Go that I received as a part of my New Consultant Kit. The twist that Stephanie threw was that it had to be about summer vacation.
I had just printed some of our photos from our trip to Omaha in 2009 so thought it was perfect to use for this challenge. I wanted to highlight some of the things from when we went to the zoo and I think that this layout turned out great!
The Typeset WOTG comes with 6 12″ x 12″ B&T Duos Papers, 6 12″ x 12″ Cardstock Sheets (Bamboo, Black, Colonial White, Creme Brulee, and Juniper), Create a Shade Paint, Milepost Shapes and an exclusive My Acrylix Everyday Life stamp set for the low price of $29.95 {The papers are also available in a paper pack on their own for $9.95.}
My layout features two of the B&T Duos, Bamboo Cardstock, Vanilla Creme Cardstock, Milepost Shapes, Cocoa and Juniper Exclusive Inks and Liquid Glass. I love how this layout came together and it was SO easy!
Here are some close-ups of the details that are part of this layout. I used the Milepost shapes and rubbed Cocoa Ink pad over them to make the corrugated cardboard pop and it looks great!
I also used Liquid Glass over the Vanilla Creme part of the stars in the stamping to make them have a dimensional look.
Some other highlights of this layout are the title where I used the Trinity Alphabet and stamped out the name of the Zoo that we went to for our summer vacation while back in hubby’s hometown. I love the size of these large letters in this set. I also can’t wait to use the teeny tiny letters in this set as some strip journaling!
If you choose to purchase this Workshop on the Go collection from my CTMH website, I will send you a FREE PDF of this layout so that you can have the exact measurements and details to know how to recreate this layout for your scrapbooks. I love creating the PDFs of layouts that I create so that I can pass them along to others and hope that you do too!
Later on this month, I will start my first Layout of the Month Club. We will be using Typeset for our collection this month so this is a perfect time for you to get your materials and have them to be ready. Again, anyone who purchases the kit for the Layout of the Month Club will get a color PDF of the layout and card that I create as well as some other photos of creations from this project as well.
