“Boy Loves Girl” Frames

One of my personal goals this year was to make more things to help decorate my house and use as functional items in my house. After cleaning the bathroom a week or so ago I realized how truly BARE the bathroom in this house is. It only had a black shower curtain and black rugs on the floor. BLAH! BORING! NEEDS HELP!

Well, my good friend Amy is making me some hand towels for the towel ring in the bathroom. That took some serious going through with hubby as he didn’t want anything that is too cliche or popular everywhere else. We settled with an S made of a black paisley fabric on one and a black embroidered S on the other. Simple!

Well I wanted to make some art for the bathroom and to go along with the “simple” theme I wanted them something he would agree on. I found a set of 3 Ikea RAKET frames at a thrift store and had been storing them for the right purpose and this was it! WOOT!

I painted the three frames with black acrylic paint. Cut three 4×6 pieces of scrapbook paper for the background and used the Gypsy Wandering Cricut cartridge to cut the boy, heart and girl from black cardstock.

This project came together so quickly and hubby even likes them. Now he just has to attach picture hangers to the back so that we can hang them and decorate our bathroom. So happy!

Come back tomorrow for details about the Copic Club and on Saturday for pictures and more from the Immortal Love Mini Album! You will love how it turned out when I finished embellishing it. 🙂
