When I received this book I looked through the book with the eye of an 8th Grade teacher who has also taught 2nd and 5th. I know where my kids come from and where they need to go with their math and in what process.
This book goes through the process of teaching Multiplication and Division in a semi hands-on method with materials that are easy to find. I do think that is a good resource a reluctant young learner. I do think that it does lack in teaching the basic numeracy of numbers which when in higher grades does affect students when they can’t tell you what they are doing with numbers and why.
I think this book would be good for a student who is new to multiplication and division before they transition to doing it on their own with out visual aids.
