All too real…

First Piece of Art for Our Home
It’s been a busy week personally and I have had to just let things fall where they may.

Some of you may know that I was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the young age of 10, some 20 years ago. After having several seizures during my formative years that were a result of not taking my medication, my doctors had always thought I had outgrown them. In 1999, I had what I thought was my last seizure. I was 18. Okay, so 12 years without them I thought they were the least of my worries. Sunday morning made that all too unreal.

After looking at a property (more on that shortly) with my realtor, husband and my parents, I had asked Michael to drive back home. I was tired and couldn’t keep my eyes open. The next thing I remember is telling Michael I was feeling dizzy and then after that I was being woken up in our driveway. Apparently the stress of a lot of things had gotten to me and I had a seizure.

I took the rest of the day extremely easy and have been doing so this week. I have been in bed most night’s before 9 p.m. (which for me is EARLY) and just generally taking care of myself. Michael has been my rock this week and I love him so much for all that he has done.

Now, back to the realtor and property. We have been blessed with an opportunity to be able to begin our future together as landowners! 🙂 Michael is taking over the looking for property and a possible mobile home to move to the property so that we have a place to live while we are sprucing it up and then down the road, building of our own.

Now that you have me in a nutshell, can you see where just an ounce of stress has been lately? On top of Monday being our Math state testing that I am totally beyond worried about with my students passing. I have some I know that won’t reach it and then have SO MANY that are so on the edge that someone breathing on them wrong the morning of the test will set them off.

So, with all of that said, I am expecting a weight gain this week. It’s been stress-filled and although I made healthy choices, we ate out all week almost just because we were out looking at new properties. Tomorrow starts a new week and I am back on track! 🙂

I’ve listed a new Layout Pattern up in the shop! Check out Black and Teal All-Over and let me know what you think about it. I’m working on some more to put up as well as some other paper kits.
