Typeset Art Philosophy Card {with extra!}

Last night I decided to play with my Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge just a little bit more and I am in LOVE with what I came up with! I hope you will like it too!

First I started by cutting a 5 1/2″ die cut card out of White Daisy cardstock. I loved the die cut border of it and wanted to make it special. {Hint: The Art Philosophy does make a cut where you will score the card. This is perfect for being able to thread ribbon through as well. You can hide this feature if you are using a Gypsy.}

After I had cut it out, I got a scrap piece of Juniper Cardstock and laid it inside the card. I traced the border and the top and cut that part out. I then adhered the new “top” of my card to the base. I inked the edges with Juniper Ink.

I’m a true scrap saver on this one because the remnants of my scrap Juniper were used to decorate the inside of my card. I also inked them up with the Juniper Ink but I did that before I adhered it.

The next step was to cut a piece of the Typeset Paper Pack to 2″ x 5 1/2″. I inked the edges with Cocoa Ink. I then used the reverse side and cut it down to 3/4″ and inked the edges with Juniper Ink. I added a 5 1/2″ piece of the border strip from the edge of the paper on top of that. Then I used my white pen to add some accent above and below each the cardstock section.

Next thing I did was get out the Pair-A-Phrase Stamp set. I loved this little ribbon and thought it matched perfectly with the card that I was making. I stamped it using Cocoa Ink on the Scalloped Circle from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I inked the edges with Juniper Ink and added some pen detail to the scallops with my Bic Mark It.

After the ink had dried, I got out my Copics and colored in the ribbon to make it look extra cute! The Copics that I used were BG13, E07 and Y18. They matched really well with the colors of the Typeset collection. I then used Foam Tape to adhere the scalloped circle and finished the card off by tying a double layer of brown seam binding tape around the top.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card but I stamped the phrase “Believe to Achieve” from the Pair-A-Phrase stamp set on the inside in Cocoa Ink about an inch above the die cut scrap.

I love how this card came out and hope you do too! All of these products {AND MORE} are available over on the Live.Teach.Create with CTMH website and I would love to help you make some cards of your own.
