# “Solve and Snip”- Interactive Practice aligned to TEKS and Common Core

Just like most teachers, I am always on the lookout to create something that will engage my students to take ownership in their learning. After modifying the way that I do practice this year and never giving my students more than 20 problems on a concept in a given week, I decided that still wasn’t reaching multiple learning abilities.

Since I could see that my students LOVE to work in their interactive notebooks, I was on a mission to begin to create Interactive Practice for class and homework and I am so happy to have the first three of them ready for {with SO many more on the way}!

The first of the three activities that I have created covers Equivalent Rational Numbers (converting fractions, decimals and percents). The Converting Fractions, Decimals and Percents Flippable has quickly become the number one seller in my shop and I thought that this would be a perfect follow-up for the classroom. I can’t wait to give it as a review for my students to test some IEP objectives for master (10 problems makes it super easy to determine 70% mastery!).

In each activity, there are two pages (easily copied front and back) with a total of 10 problems aligned to the TEKS and Common Core objectives for that grade level and concept. The student simply reads the problem, works through their problem in a given “work” area and then uses the answer boxes to cut out and attach the correct answer.

Also included is an answer key made especially for the teacher. It looks exactly like their paper with the respective answers filled in.

Wait, I said earlier that I have put out three different ones? Ready to know what they are as well? Factors and Multiples Solve and Snip as well as Proportions Solve and Snip are also ready for you to purchase for only \$1.00 in my TpT Store! WOOT WOOT!

Whew, next up for “Solve and Snip” will be: Comparing and Ordering Rational Numbers, Integer Operations, Multiplication and Division of Whole Numbers, Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers, Adding and Subtracting Decimals, Estimating and Rounding and Order of Operations.
