The chance to make new birthday cards came this past week and I had no idea what I wanted to do when I began but it came to me quick and needed very few supplies!
I started with a base of a hot pink sheet of textured cardstock from my stash cut at the regular A2 size of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ when folded. I then pulled out my My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist 6×6 pad and used a few different sheets. The teal polka dots were cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, cupcakes were cut at 4″ x 3″, pink flowers were cut at 2 1/2″ x 3″ and the brown was cut at 4″ x 2″.
I used the Diamond Lace edge punch by EK Success to give the brown paper a nice scalloped edge. I then used my Sakura Gelly Roll pen to give it a bit of extra glitz around the scallops before adhering it to the back of the cupcake paper.
Before I adhered the rectangular piece of pink flowers, I also went around the edges with the Sakura Gelly Roll pen to give it some added Glitz. I used the stamp from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Collection that said Celebrate and inked it in Black Ink in the corner.
Next, I cut the cupcake shape from my Cricut at the given size on the stamp sheet and then inked each part of it up separately. The top is inked in Tulip Ink and the bottom in Chocolate Ink. I went over the icing with Magenta Stickles and over the wrapper with CTMH Stardust Glitz Gel.
