Friends Touch Your Heart {Card using Typeset}

I received the retired Friendship CTMH My Acrylix stamp set from a fellow consultant and on Wednesday and couldn’t wait to play with it once I got home. {Thanks Claudia!}

The first thing I did was cut a card base to make a 5″ card from Creme Brulee {comes with Typeset Level 2 Paper Pack linked below} cardstock. I then used Cocoa Ink to stamp the damask pattern all over the edges of the front of the card. You can see that some of it is being stamped off the edges each time I stamped it on there. When I got the final spot, I had to watch where I inked on the stamp to make sure that it wouldn’t overlap the previous image. I also then used my sponge to ink the edges in Cocoa Ink as well.

The next thing I did was to stamp the sentiment in Cocoa Ink on a 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Colonial White cardstock. I backed it with a 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ of Juniper Cardstock that had been offset. I inked the Juniper cardstock with Cocoa Ink and the Colonial White cardstock with Juniper Ink.

I then cut a sheet from the Typeset collection to 4 1/2″ square. I inked the edges with Cocoa Ink and adhered it down to the card. I added some Hug Snug Seam Binding to create a bow (and some visual interest) and then used foam tape to adhere my sentiment.

I love how this card turned out and can’t wait to give it to someone special! I finished it off by adding a Milepost Shape to point to the sentiment. LOVE these shapes!

Let me know what you think! I love comments just as much as the next person! 🙂 All of the links provided in this post will direct you straight to my CTMH website were these items can be purchased (as well as others) except for the Hug Snug seam binding. ENJOY!
