When students write, sketch, cross out, try again, and show their thinking, the math finally sticks.
Paper slows the process down just enough to deepen understanding, build stamina, and make those “ohhhhh!” moments actually happen.

So yes, in my classroom, we still get messy.
We still erase.
We still draw models.
